tulla

Pakistani slang for a cop. Tulla's are corrupt, overweight and waste no opportunity to exhort bribe from drivers. But you can't really blame them because they aren't payed very well and usually have 5 kids to feed at home. They stay away from flashy rich drivers.

That poor bastard we just raced got pulled over by some tullas, he's probably gonna lose his gas money too.

The first time I heard it used was in the surf crowd( Hawaii and California) in the late '50's and early '60's. Surfing in the tube{where the wave curls over) is as cool as it gets. Tubular
