The term "homophobia" is often used in the same context, which is wrong and ignorant.

"Homophobia" is a description of emotions and feelings towards homosexuality, such as fear, hatred or aversion, as "Homonegativity" means intellectual disapproval of homosexuality.

Also spelled homo9, homonine is a portmanteau of "homonym" and "T9," a common cell phone typing interface. Thus, its meaning is a word which is a homonym of another when both are spelled in T9 mode.

I tried to text "Are you home?" to my girl, but instead of "home," the T9 predictive text turned 4663 into "gone," asking instead, "Are you gone?" It was a simple mixup of homonines, but she responded angrily "Gone from where, a**hole? Our house? Of course I'm not gone-I live here! What the h*ll's that supposed to mean?"
