One who has a very limited depth or short-lived compassion / care for others can be said to be suffering from 'empathorexia'

Within minutes of ackowledging her husband was in great pain, she had put him back to work at the decorating - thus displaying her empathorexia.

Embattered

Its a mixed emotion which combines the feeling of 'embarrassment' and 'flattery/flattered'.

The class of 300, was asked the question, Which among these following are true.

a. The Name of the person who spoke in front of this class today is Monisha.
b. She was raised in Dubai.
c. She lived in India for 2 years.
d. All of the above.

Half way through the question, Monisha was embattered. She wanted to hide her face, but also bask in the limelight, quite shamelessly.

Empathy

One of our human weaknesses and one of the contributing factors to today's conformism. Something that tears us down and brings past memories to the surface through a vicarious experience.

Empath

Typically a person who is very empathetic and is capable of understanding someone elses feelings.

Other than that, there are some narcissistic butts that think they know more about your feelings than you do yourself, and label themselves as an Empath.

"You must be sad," examined Bill.

"Actually, I am not sad at all," Lucy explain.

"Yes, you are, you don't have to hide your emotions," Bill replied.

"I am not sad though," Lucy said, "I am actually doing pretty fine."

"It's okay Lucy, I am an empath, I know what you're experiencing," Bill said.

Lucy actually wasn't sad during this, of course Bill didn't seem to care because he thought he has some superpower to read one's mind.

Bill was an Empath, even though he is the only one who would ever label himself that.

Cold Empathy

Someone gives you cold empathy when they cradle your emotions, then give them to someone else to cradle, who then gives to someone else... etc. Until your emotions have been passed around like a bunch of Russian schoolgirls.
