Everyone once thought COVID-19 would be over by summer 2020, but it feels like the pandemic is now still going strong with no end in sight as of December 2020.

Covid Memory Fog

This is a way of defining a person who cannot or remembers very little of anything pre 2020/during the Covid Pandemic. This could be due to people's substance use during the pandemic or their inability to do anything with their lives. Including, binge watching anime for hours. Playing video games for hours. Drinking or smoking themselves to death. Or just flat out introverted behavior.

James: Hey we met before?
Earl: No i'm from New York

Covid relic

Objects, signs, rules, or behaviours created during Covid that are still hanging about years later, long after everyone mentally clocked out of the pandemic.

Usually found in workplaces, GP surgeries, shops, or at the back of someone’s brain.

Common examples include:

“Keep 2m distance” floor stickers that everyone now stands on

Faded “How to wash your hands for 20 seconds” posters (with diagrams like it’s rocket science)

Perspex screens protecting absolutely no one

Hand sanitiser stations containing liquid that smells like regret

Signs saying “Masks must be worn” while nobody is wearing one

A workplace notice board still hosting a faded A4 paper of “new Covid rules”, long dead but not yet buried
