pulling a meredith

Also referred to as simply Meredith.

In reference to Grey's Anatomy; refers to the act of connecting sexually or romantically with a close friend (often who has sexual/romantic feelings towards you) which you have no sexual or romantic feelings towards. Often occurs due to loneliness/horniness or confusion.
This act will usually be followed by an immediate negative reaction from the "Meredith", after realising that they have made a mistake.

Joe: Did you hear that Sara hooked up with Zak at the party on Saturday?
Bob: No way! I thought she liked James? I mean, I knew Zak liked her...
Tim: Didn't she bail right after though?
Joe: Yeah, she was just pulling a Meredith.

Meredith

the most beautiful human youd be lucky enough to ever come across. theyre bruised but never broken. theyre extremely selfless. they put out into the world the love and the light theyve failed to receive. they pick you up when youre shattered and in pieces and scattered across the floor. they put you back together, while healing their own ugly, bloody wounds. they show you the value you cant find in yourself. they try their best to treat everyone with kindness and they are successful at that. they make you feel safe and at home and they make you feel wanted, often forgetting that they deserve to feel the same. they are unapologetic and intelligent and motivated and dedicated. you can go to them and they will tear open the dark, lonely box youve put yourself in, and beckon you to come out and see the good that awaits. they are all thats good in the world. this planet truly doesnt deserve them and thats because they are heaven-sent: quite literally, an angel.

I feel safe when i am with Meredith. They make me feel at home. They are my home.
