Meeber

A Meeber is one of those monsters that live under the bed. Or one of those creatures you create in your mind, that comes out in your dreams, or when you are scared and alone in the dark. It can be any size and shape, any description your mind can conjure up, but it's the thing that scares you. The thing that chases you down a dark alley. The thing that appears from nowhere out of the shadows. The monster that chases you in your nightmares.

"Last night I saw a Meeber! After it clawed it's way through my door, it crawled under my bed and lay there grunting. I think it had four arms and six eyes, and teeth the size of a chisel. I was proper sweating under the duvet, too afraid to look."

"Dad, I can't sleep. The Meeber under the bed is growling."

"Don't dangle your feet over the edge of the bed or the Meeber will eat them!"
