It is an idiom in which

1. This person can and will hurt you, and they will do it with out you knowing.

Or

2. This person is dangerous and menacing, and does their action without warning or knowing.

This is the absolute difference of all bark no bite

Bro this guy went up behind me and almost body slammed me, luckily I was able to escape but that man did it with no warning.

bite and bake to gold

to "bite and bake to gold" is to cut corners and expect everything to turn out well. For example, when baking bread, you can eat ("bite") some of the bread dough, but still bake it "to gold" (golden brown) and having eaten it doesn't matter. usually people use this negatively- i.e."it's not something you can bite and bake to gold"- to essentially mean "don't cut corners".

"Hey, Dr. Bam, do you think I have to sanitize this scalpel?"
"Obviously you do, surgery isn't something you can just bite and bake to gold."
