The attitude of the Scots when they live in England. Once over the border, the Scots become infected with a form of virus. This virus is the Scottish Cringe. Symptoms: Severe paranoia and feelings of inadequacy and extremely low self esteem manifesting in outward displays of extreme bragging and general obnoxiousness towards the English. Root cause natural inadequacy and lack of a notable home win since 1314. Only remedy for this - do not let Scots over to the English side of the border, alternatively get them repatriates as soon as possible. Once back home in Scotland the symptoms abate to almost bearable levels.

Once relocated from Glasgow to Birmingham, Jock began to exhibit all the symptoms of the "Scottish Cringe". He became ruder and more racist about the English, displaying feelings of intense inferiority and desperately defensive when faced with English achievements: expressing views that would seem to indicate he hoped that England would sink beneath the waves and certainly NOT rule them.

The Cringe

The cringe is a condition that many people have but the severity varies. The people who suffer from more extreme causes of the cringe cannot physically be in the vicinity of cringey situations or events. If they are a series of symptoms of the cringe will initiate, these include but are not limited to, nausea, sweating profusely, irritability, restlessness etc.

People who suffer severely from the cringe can only heal their symptoms by removing themselves from the situation or by having it stop. As the cringe has not been medically defined for long not enough research and experiments have been conducted to tell what will happen to an individual if they do not remove themselves from a situation that is too cringey for them to handle.

When my friends small kids asked them whats an orgasm was in front of a group of their friends I got The Cringe and had to leave.

sweat cringe 

The emotion felt when you walking along and someone with really sweaty arms brushes past any part of your skin

usually happens on a hot day and the result is you feel like screaming and shouting at the dude who may have done it accidently but you don't care - cos it was gross.

Plus you don't feel like wiping it with your hands or shirt... cos then you would just be spreading the sweat somewhere else.

It was a hot day and Lucy was on the bus holding to the handle when an overweight sweaty gentlemen came onto the bus. he tried to edge past Lucy but due to the nature of his size, brushed her arm as he went past. Hence lucy got a nice healthy portion of sweat all over her arms, and a sweat cringe ensued.
