Description of phenomenon by which the most incompetent members of a given organization will inevitably, inexorably, incomprehensibly rise to the the highest levels of power. In short, a person's responsibilities are inversely related to that person's ability to perform said responsibilities.

George W. Bush's Presidency is the Peter Principle in its most horrible realization.

Peter Dutton ; member of Australian parliament, a former police officer, who tested positive to Coronavirus COVID-19.

Peter Dutton acted out a sinario insinuating that 'the coast is clear'. This is in regards to his management of the "Ruby Princess" Cruse ship. The majority of COVID cases in Australia are linked to that perticular ship. Case Closed, P.S.I. have good reason to do this presumably.
