Almost always used as "the boondocks" or "the boonies." This is beyond country. This is far off the main roads, and almost in the wilderness. Essentially the middle of nowhere.

A "boondao" (in portuguese = bundão) is a freeking & fucking idiot.
It derivates from "bundo", an african language and ethnic group from Angola; because women in this group have a big behind people in Brazil started to use this word to refer to this part of the body.
