Sunset Protocol

A protocol put in place by the U.S. Military to contain the Wildfire Virus in The Walking Dead Universe. The order stated that "all non-military targets are now targets free", meaning all non military personnel were to be executed. This is seen in Episode 5, Season 1, in a flashback, when soldiers of the 2nd Calvary division are seen by Shane Walsh executing the doctors and nurses in Harrison Memorial Hospital

- noun. 1. A transitional evolutionary form found to exist between creationist and a proponent of the Intelligent Design "theory" (design proponent), also known colloquially as an "IDiot". The existence of this form was conclusively identified by plaintiff during the Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District trial.

A cdesign proponentist believes in the biblical interpretation of the origin of life.

proto-punk

a hard-to-classify group of bands and performers who laid the foundation for and inspired punk rock's development in the mid-1970s. These acts sported tough guy looks, rebellious attitudes, the longest hair in the neighborhood, sometimes simple 3-chord arrangements and/or feedback and garage band aesthetics. Some of these acts were called "punk rock" by critics in the late 60s and early 70s. That label later was applied to later bands of the mid-70s, starting with the Ramones. Elvis Presley may be the original "proto-punk" rocker. He wore denim and leather, wore his hair long for the 50s, swiveled his hips provacatively, rode motorcycles, sneered when he sang, and more. The term "proto-punk" wasn't used until after punk itself came into its own.

Protogen

A species resembling cyborgs; they are 60% biological and 40% robotic. They have visors capable of displaying countless emotions. Usually are trained during a simulation that happens before they are 'born;' they are getting time to adapt to their modifications after they are added. They were designed to pull a multitude of random jobs deemed too menial for their makers. Their limbs can be changed out because they're entirely modular. They were designed during project ARC: artificial remote control; there was later a surplus so they were abandoned after their job was done. At one point they rebelled and won; they gained control of themselves and had a wide variety of jobs to pick from.
To sum it all up, a pretty cool anthro species. I love them.

Protender

The act of one pretending or proclaiming to be a pro athlete when in reality they are not. Particularly common in the sport of triathlon.

Protenders are fond of applying for as much sponsorship as possible. They are proud to wear more logos than a NASCAR and claim to have "signed" with these sponsors. Yet, in reality, their sponsorship is little more than a cost discount.

Sadly there are several instances of protenders bending the truth or blatantly lying to potential sponsors in order to land a sponsorship, thus stealing said sponsorship from deserving real pros.

Protenders are almost always slow, non-competitve and little more than pack fodder.

"Did you see the new Team Timex roster? What a bunch of protenders".
