closet metalhead

A person who thoroughly enjoys metal, rock, alternative or other headbanging music but doesn't express it or know it yet.
Alyssa loved rock n roll but kept it a secret for fear of what her parents or friends may think. She was a closet metalhead.

Pop music became repetative and annoying after a while, so Don turned to classic rock and found that he loved it. He was a closet metalhead all along.

hustler mentality

to be able to to use their brains to make it in this world.

They outsmart the smart, cunning, and has streetsmarts. They know how to get money and is skilled at doing it to. Also they can be so sly that they can sell you stuff you don't need.
Allison uses her hustler mentality every day to get what she wants on the streets.

doom metal

A specific style of metal music with a gloomy atmosphere and slow-tempoed instrument playing. Many consider Candlemass' "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus" to be one of the first doom metal albums.
Person #1 "Let's listen to Linkin Park in your car, yo!"

Person #2 "We'll listen to Candlemass, and if you interrupt the music at any time I will be forced to stop at Guitar Center and stab you in the eye with the headstock of a Jackson soloist model."

florida death metal

A subgenre of death metal that started in the late 80's and is composed of bands such as Morbid Angel, Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Malevolent Creation, Monstrosity, Resurrection, and so on.

Tampa is the most prevelant home to Florida Death Metal bands. Morbid Angel, Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, and Deicide are some of the most notable ones to live and record in Tampa. Morrisound Studios is where a great many classic death metal albums were recorded, like CC's Tomb of the Mutilated, Morbid Angel's Covenant, Obituary's Cause of Death, and even Brazilian thrashers Sepultura came to Tampa in 1991 to record Arise with producer Scott Burns, who also produced numerous death metal albums.

The style of Florida death metal is not easily defined, it varies from cannibal corpses blood and guts themes to deicides anti-christian ranting. But it is usually just straight forward and to the point, no fancy productions or studio wizardy with an emphasis on riffs and song structures. some bands are more techinical than others. Most of them use blast beats and especially double bass, vocals go from thrash yelling to low guttural growls to high shrieks.

Overall, death metal would not be the same without these bands. Florida swamp death metallers unite.
Florida Death Metal is the best music EVER.

Brutal Death Metal

1. A sub genre of Death Metal in which emphasis is on complex and fast drumming, palm muted guitar, and extremely guttural vocals.

2. A meme on last.fm. Pop artists are tagged Brutal Death Metal so that it shows up in their top genre tags.
1. Suffocation was one of the first Brutal Death Metal bands.

2. Paris Hilton's #1 genre tag was Brutal Death Metal until the lulz killers at last.fm removed it from her page.

A heavier form of rock and roll music, that is definately not for everybody. However, if you like music that is violent, heavy, and generally badass, I recommend going to your nearest record store and buying a Priest or Maiden album. If you like rock music, but wish it was heavier, you won't regret it, trust me.

There are many different types of metal. I'll list a few examples of each genre:
Heavy Metal: Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Tank, Accept, Motorhead, Armored Saint, Saxon.

Thrash Metal: SSSSLLLLAAAAYYYYEEEERRRR!!!!(the yelling is necessary, trust me), Kreator, Sodom, Testament, Overkill, Exodus.

Death Metal: Death, Morbid Angel, Possessed, Bolt Thrower, Monstrosity, Deicide, Vader.

Power Metal: Sabaton, Hammerfall, Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Helloween.

Black Metal: (a.k.a. the gods rock and roll of which you need to lay down your soul to) Bathory (old), Celtic Frost, Burzum, Dark Throne, Emperor, Mayhem.

Viking Metal: Bathory (new), Ensiferum, Tyr, Korpiklaani, Enslaved.

Doom Metal: Candlemass, Solitude Aeturnus, My Dying Bride (not an emo band, surprisingly), Electric Wizard.

And that's just a few. Also, don't think that metal is all a bunch of shouting about Satan. It's not. Trust me, I listen to it, and it's not.
