caught a case

verb: To be arrested and ultimately convicted and subsequently serve time for an alleged crime. A popular phrase in a certain ethnic/socioeconomic demographic when trying to explain their misfortune of being at the wrong place at the wrong time, and how "this" isn't what it seems. A defense mechanism similar to denial when being caught red handed.

Lashauwn was walking around the hood looking in a parked car when he "caught a case" as the police observed him smashing window with his fist to borrow an ipod to listen to. When asked by his associates how he got the bloody knuckles, Lashauwn explains he was borrowing an ipod when he "caught a case".

Coughblocked

When one is ill-stricken to the point where bodily functions are failing and one's sexual life is constantly excused due to uncontrollable coughs, runny noses, sneezes, etc.

*Boy and Girl lean in for a kiss*
*Boy coughs*
*Girl leans back*
Boy: Aww man. I just totally got coughblocked.

*Boy and Girl are having sex*
*Boy sneezes in Girl's face*
Girl: That was a huge turn off. I'm leaving.
Boy: Aww man. I just totally got coughblocked. Again!

Couch Flu

Couch Flu is a lack of motivation and energy experienced when in a comfortable/ nice seating position on a couch. The weather may also incur couch flu. The phrase was originally coined by a UCC student in Ireland. The original idea was adopted from the swine flu.

Couch talk is an intimate conversation which happens between two people who aren't really that close but during the talk they open up and discover new things about each other. Usually after the couch talk the two people become much more comfortable with each other, often resulting in a friendship or even a relationship.
