Quarterback Keeper

When a girlfriend or wife gets pregnant and decides (without any input from the male) that she is keeping the baby. A common theme is that the female tells the man that she is taking contraceptives when she knows she is not.
Usually done as a way of keeping a relationship going when there have been signs that the partnership may be coming to an end.

Man, I was going to dump her but then she pulled a Quarterback Keeper! Guess I'll have to stick around now.

quarter life crisis

When you realize suddenly that you've finished school, and it's time to Choose Your Career, and Support Yourself, and enter the Real World -- NOW -- and you have no eartly idea what to do. It doesn't help that you probably have absolutely no job experience whereas the jobs you see advertised everywhere want at least 3-5 years.

You can buy yourself some time to regroup by getting a McJob.

Oh god what do i do where do i go from here my resume sucks i suck and i don't have any money and if i go to my parents i'm a failure and i need to get out there and find a job but i don't see any that i want or that i think i'll know how to do very well or they won't hire me anyway 'cause i can't prove i'm any good so i think i'll just sit here in my room in the dark and curl up and go to sleep for awhile.......

9 and 3 quartered

verb. the term refers to the act of walking into a solid wall that was in plain view.
This term is taken from the platform number 9 3/4s which wizards run through in the harry potter series to get on the Hogwarts Express.
The act of "9 and 3 quartering" an object is often the result of being ridiculously and unreasonably stoned.

"Is Marisa gonna be alright? She ran into that wall pretty hard"

"Yeah, she 9 and 3 quartered that bugger."

Barbershop Quartet

A very awesome group of four men who each sing a different part (Tenor Lead Bari Bass) and do not, contrary to popular belief, wear striped vests and those weird hats. they are part of the barbershop harmony society. Some of the best quartets in the world are Ringmasters (from Sweden), Musical Island Boys (from New Zealand), OC Times (from US and 2008 international quartet champions), Vocal Spectrum, Monkey Magic, Happiness Emporium and Crossroads (from US and 2009 international quartet champions). Also the Dapper Dans of disneyland are a quartet
