The act of typing on a cellphone or other mobile device. Involves typing with the very tips of your thumbs, slowly, carefully, and methodically, as in "tiptoeing".

Shorthand Typing

When people who are using a full qwerty keyboard are too lazy to type all the letters in a word. Commonly used in emails, forums, blogs and text messages.

I can never understand why people use Shorthand Typing like this:
'plz' instead of please; 'jst' instead of just; 'cuz' instead of because; 'dat' instead of that, and so on.

CAD Typing

The ill effect of forgetting to release the CAPS locks when switching from CAD (computer aided design) software to an Internet messenger, giving the user the illusion of shouting. CAD typing can only apply with the use of CAD standards which call for all text to be written in capitals.

Hunt and Peck Typing

Hunt and Peck typing, also known as Brady typing, is a method of typing with two fingers where you hunt for each key and peck it with your finger. Hunt and Peck typing is commonly known for being inferior to touch typing and is generally much slower.

raptor typing

The act of using two fingers for typing as an alternative to 'pecking' at the keyboard (using one finger at a time). The name comes from your hands looking like raptor claws why you type. People who raptor type generally never learned to touch type and converted after being made fun of for 'pecking' at the keyboard.

"What? You can't touch type? So you peck?"
"No man I raptor type, RAWR!"

"Raptor typing is so much faster than pecking plus it sounds so much cooler."

Nigger Typing

A lazy form of sentence structure composed of abbreviations and watered down wording. Usually found in youtube comments, facebook, and any message board on the internet.

Nigger Typing: "Yo dAt Transformers 2 is gr8 man. Y u hatin son? I luv dat shit. Any1 who DoNt agree is a biTch ass ho nigga son. 420"

English Translation: "I thought Transformers 2 was a good movie."
