A Deedlit poll, is based, on the British term, deed poll, which again, according to the Oxford Learner's Dictionary, is a legal document, which a person signs, to change his/her name.
SNE, the Record of Lodoss War creators, gives its British fans, a Deedlit poll, which asks them, if they should change Deedlit's name, to Dido, her other name. A joke!
