A word all you optimists use loosly. It's not falling down and scraping your knee. It's not getting pushed or shoved. Here's what pain is:
*Cutting yourself and seeing the blood run all over your arm
*Stuffing yourself with food and drinkining half a quart of orange juice at 1:00 a.m and then watching it all come back up again.
*Hearing your sister scream and watching your dad get the blame
*Laying in your room and screaming even though you know that no one cares.
That is pain. In other words, hurting is for that "pain" you optimists feel. Pain is for the pain that hurts no matter where or who you are.Pain can be physical or emotional. Or both.

You dumb optimists think that pain is mild.

Pain

A unpleasent feeling from a injury.

"Bodies bleed upon physical injury, and they may look quite hurtful but eventually the pain will wear off as time passes and they can heal faster with medical aid. What are more serious are emotional scars. They are the hardest to heal. Physical and emotional scars are a bit different. Unlike physical ones, there's no ointment available for the emotional ones, and the pain may never go away. There is only one thing, that can stop such heartache. However as inconvenient it may seem, this cure can only be given by people other than yourself.

Physical pain can be caused by illness or injury
Mental pain can be cause by death, sad times, etc.

Physical pain: Stubbing your toe, stepping on a plug, etc.
Mental pain: Death of loved ones, death of a pet, etc.
