5 points of success

(as far as i know this started with bart and geo from the youtube channel justkiddingnews)

this are 5 areas that get kissed on the face

1st is the left cheek -> 2nd is the forehead -> 3rd is the right cheek -> 4th is the chin -> 5th is the lips

Bart and geo use this as a way to solve their arguments. when they get into a fight they work it out and then end with the 5 points in order to make sure that both partners have cooled down and the argument has been resolved for both parties. if one refuse then the argument must be worked out further as one of the partners is still somewhat upset. this works because imagine kissing someone when your mad at them right after an argument....it would be hard to do so, right? but if the argument has been fixed well then both people should come out feeling better as they were able to get out their emotions and feelings while still fixing the situation that caused the argument. if both people feel well then they both wouldn't mind doing the 5 points.

5 x 5

In voice procedure (the techniques used to facilitate spoken communication over two-way radios) a station may request a report on the quality and strength of signal they are broadcasting. In the military of the NATO countries, and other organizations, the signal quality is reported on two scales; the first is for signal strength, and the second for signal clarity. Both these scales range from one to five, where one is the worst and five is the best. The listening station reports these numbers separated with the word "by". Five by five therefore means a signal that has excellent strength and perfect clarity -- the most understandable signal possible.

Five by five by extension has come to mean "I understand you perfectly" in situations other than radio communication, the way Loud and Clear entered slang, post-WW2.

It is sometimes used as slang term to mean "everything is good". The character "Faith" from the "Buffy The Vampire" TV series used it this way.

Sometimes also used in athletic training.
A radio operator would ask: "Radio check -- how am I coming in?" A responder could say; "You are coming in 5 x 5 (5 by 5)". (This means that your signal strength and clarity are both 5 out of a 1-5 scale, where 5 is the best strength and clarity.)

Or, as slang:
A person would ask; "How are you doing?" The responder could say; "I'm 5 x 5." (5 by 5, meaning I'm doing/feeling great.)

5/7

The odd rating 5/7 represents a "perfect score".

On december 2015 a Facebook screenshot showing a discussion between "the proud Trump supporter" Brandan Sullivan, who rates the film Fight Club with a 5/7, and a guy called Robert Graves got popular on imgur. Brandan Claims later that Fight Club deserved a "perfect score".

5/7 is now frequently used on Reddit if someone wants to give something a 11/10 rating.

5 Centimeters Per Second

2007 Japanese animated movie drama about time and love. Basically the Japanese version of The Notebook.

"The movie is named 5 Centimeters Per Second for the speed at which cherry blossom petals fall, petals being a metaphorical representation of humans, reminiscent of the slowness of life and how people often start together but slowly drift into their separate ways."
