In the container management software, Kubernetes, podgatory is the state of any given pod where they are in an indefinitely unready state, while still responding on the liveness probe, thus never being restarted and never receiving traffic.

"Oh man, we've got 50 pods in podgatory today because some dweebs didn't configure their readiness probes correctly"
