The event where an individual tweets a lot in a very short space of time about a series of unimportant and seemingly unconnected topics.

(n.b. this occurs often as a result of either caffeine highs, drunk tweeting and extreme boredom/procrastination)

Person 1: hey, did you see twitter last night?
Person 2: No, why?
Person 1: Tom got drunk and had a bad case of twitter-vom last night, it was hilarious.

Twitter Double-Double

The rare moment when one receives at least 10 Retweets and 10 Favorites. It requires a dedicated fan base, and for celebrities it is 10,000 Retweets and 10,000 Favorites. The Twitter Double-Double will not be counted if you are asking for retweets/favorites in order to receive something in return.

Joe: "John, your tweet got 12 Retweets and 11 Favorites!"

John: "No way! I got a Twitter Double-Double!"

The process by which two or more people at the same event tweet nearly identical things in sequence, sometimes repeatedly, using the same hashtag.

Tweet from @user1: "Wow the band is really rocking tonight. #myfavband"
Twitter Echo from @user2: "Wow, the band is rockin' tonight. #myfavband"

twitter hippy

Refers to an individual(s) who displays themselves as a "hippy" via social networking sites, but upon being seen and conversed with in person, have no outstanding qualities that would allow them to be seen as aforementioned "hippy". Twitter biographies often include descriptors declaring that one is indeed "a hippy", "flower child", "peace lover", "acid lover", etc. May even go as far as to tweet and retweet things that encourage this false image, even though they may not fully understand the subject matter of said tweets.

John: "Sarah is a very judgmental, mean girl."
David: "But her twitter makes her seem so peaceful and cool, she's got a picture of the Buddha on her header!"
John: "Nah, she's just a twitter hippy."
