In psychology, cognitive burden asymmetry refers to the unequal distribution of cognitive load and its effects across different parts of the brain or on different cognitive functions. This asymmetry is evident in brain lateralization, where hemispheres specialize in certain tasks, and can become more pronounced under high cognitive load, potentially affecting performance and leading to biased processing or fatigue. For example, tasks may be processed more efficiently or with a greater "burden" on one side of the brain depending on the task's nature and the individual's specific neural wiring.

When I tried to multitask during finals, I felt the cognitive burden asymmetry kick in—my left brain was struggling with math while my right brain was zoning out on my playlist!

Burden wagoner

similar to band wagoner, but when some one has passed away before their time and everyone starts saying that the person who has died was their "best friend", or that they were so close with the person. mainly occurs in people who don't really have a cause in life and need to find some way to get attention and feel like they've done something productive for once. mostly occurs with teen deaths.

person 1: did you hear about joe? :(
Burden wagoner: yeah man, its too bad, that kid was my best friend.

person 1: didnt you only have like 1 class with him?
Burden wagoner: nah man. we hung out all the time and we were real close
person 1: oh, yeah okay.
Burden wagoner: no im serious, we really did hang out all the time.

Free Birdin' (Burden)

When your last child moves from home to go to college leaving the parents alone for the first time in years to explore the freedom and bliss of their next stage in life. Happier version of "Empty Nesters" which elicits a connotation of sadness and loss which is the opposite of a couple who is Free Birdin'

Mom and Dad are Free Birdin' (Burden) in Mexico...again. They so seem happy and more relaxed since I left for college. I wonder why?
