Hmm disease

An over use of the words 'hmm' 'urmm' 'ummm' 'Mhmm' or any other derivative. It's when people are thinking too much but have a lack of anything better to say.

Me: He left me, so rude, I wonder if I have done something wrong?

Matt: Hmmm

Me: he says I've changed, do you think I have?

Matt: hmmm.. oh no, I double hmm'd. =O

Me: Oh noes, you've got Hmm disease!!

Hmm meme

An obscure picture that makes you question how it exists. Some examples can be that an item is included but shouldn't be there, the photo doesn't make sense/ add up or it's just strange in general.

I follow a page that posts many hmm memes. One of the pictures is a of a person spreading vaseline on a cracker.

hmm la

A phrase which is said when two people are thinking the same thing at the same time. It is generally only applicable if the thought is semi-random but can optionally also be used when the similar thought is obvious.

When used in online conversations, the inherent delay in the conversation can result in both people stating their thought at the same time but before receiving the other person's message. Both people may then say "Hmm La!", resulting in a double hmm la (or potentially an infinite cycle of hmm las)

Friend1: I feel like going home, this party is shite.
Friend2: Hmm La!

Used to describe who stutters way to much or starts their reply to a sentence, statement, or accusation with "Hmmm..." or "Mmm..."

hmm ok

Well Hmm is the same is Umm but we use H instead of U. its show When you are verbalizing your thought process. Armed with this information, it is easy to realize that the best way to avoid using filler words is to pause.

ok and okay with same meaning but we use ok to make it shorter :)

Boy 1 : Wanna go together to the bermuda triangle? it'll be fun, I promise!
Boy 2 : hmm ok.
