Get the Mental Defenestrationmug. The act of throwing someone out of a window. It was repurposed for discussion among intellectual circles to refer to cases in history in which a leader or influential individual was forcefully deposed from power and replaced by the person who deposed them. Originally repurposed due to the creation of the French First Republic, when many Jacobin loyalists (radical anti-monarchists) threw sympathisers of constitutional monarchy (moderate revolutionary) out of windows to fill their representative seats with other Jacobin loyalists.

Get the Defenestratedmug. the act of offensively taking down ones fence, or that of a neighbor, in order to protect oneself and others from grave injury while falling through a window or blackish hole
Ted was home to defenestrate while his wife was away, but the damn neighbor cat was on the ledge watching, so ted had to defenestrate the whole neighborhood because the cat would scratch his right to defenstrate alone should he vote on ballot measure 12453b and decide not to defenestrate at all, would hardly seem logical given how much of his life he'd already spent defenestrating and lame in certain defenstrational instances
