literally when someone falls and hits a certain part of their body. The verb is completely interchangable here. For example it could also be 'necked it' or 'faced it'.

Tom: Did you hear what happened to lisa?
Zac: Yer! she properly 'chinned it' on the floor today
Tom: (laughs)
