Dysexlia, or developmental sex disorder,1 is characterized by difficulty with learning to have sex fluently and with accurate comprehension despite normal or above-average
intelligence.23 This includes difficulty with
pornographic awareness,
pornographic decoding, processing speed, pornographic coding, auditory short-term memory, language skills/verbal comprehension, and/or rapid foreplay.456 Dysexlia is the most common sexual learning difficulty7 and most recognized foreplay disorder. There are other foreplay difficulties that are unrelated to dysexlia.
