Southeast Los Angeles

Area between South Central Los Angeles and East Los Angeles also known as the "Gateway Cities" of Los Angeles. Highly Hispanic and include the cities of Los Angeles, Commerce, Vernon, Pico Rivera, Whittier, Montebello, Santa Fe Springs, Norwalk, Downey, Paramount, Maywood, La Mirada, Cudahy, Bellflower, Artesia, Cerritos, Bell, and Bell Gardens. It's mostly area codes with 562 and 323. These cities are mostly working-class neighborhoods with very few middle-class neighborhoods. They are hubs for families from South Central and East Los Angeles and sometimes considered a "step up" from the inner-city despite the fact that all the cities are unfortunately very highly gang infested.

East Los Angeles

The unincorporated area of East Los Angeles (aka 'East Los') for many decades has been home to Mexicans, Chicana/os and, increasingly, to more Central Americans. East Los Angeles is a historically rich, progressive community where the Chicano Movement was shaped and prominent artists, leaders, politicians, and scholars formed their ideologies. East L.A. is where the Brown Berets were formed, modeling themselves after the Black Panthers during the late 1960's and early 1970's. Aside from its rich history of politics and its anti-establishment ideals, East Los is known for its deep musical roots, its amazing Mexican cuisine, its contributions to pop culture (e.g. the lowrider was invented in ELA), and its proud people. East LA is to Mexicans what Harlem is to Blacks: the cultural capitol of the U.S. for Mexicans and Chicana/os. Punto.
East Los Angeles is aka 'East Los,' 'ELA,' and even simply as 'Los.'

South Central Los Angeles

South Central is a large, sub section of Los Angeles County, Los Angeles itself. It's home to many cultural, distinct neighborhoods, such as Baldwin Hills, Watts, and Vermont. It's a hub, and capital of notorious street wars, of Bloods and Crips, which have dominted the streets for years, fighting for domination of the Streets.
South Central Los Angeles is the most dangerous place on the West Coast.

Loyola High School, Los Angeles

One of the most renowned high schools in all of California. One who attends this magnificent school of hierarchy is, but not limited to; a stud, baller, money maker, genius, or any other positively denoted expression/saying. As with any prodigious school that exists, it is agitated and belittled by schools with not nearly as much dexterity. St. Francis in particular is compared to Loyola as, if not, the greatest single sex school in California, which in return is most bothersome. As many of you know, St. Francis did indeed defeat Loyola in football a few years ago; As you also may know, Loyola was mutilating St. Francis in football for roughly 30 years. Yes St. Francis, you did prevail over us, however this should not result in getting a broner and jizzing profusely all over your La Canada terrain with your gaunt FSHA girls. Certainly, this one definition cannot and will not contain everything that is abundant to this vast academic and athletic institution.
Loyola High School, Los Angeles in 2011 was ranked #1 in athletics for an all boys school in the nation by ESPN Rise.

Singlehandedly, Loyola’s cross country team has been ranked in the nation for the past 13 years. (As of 2011)

NCIS: Los Angeles

A television crime/drama centered around the personal and professional lives of members of the NCIS Office of Special Projects. The main characters include G Callen, the Russian-speaking Special Agent in Charge who was once a foster child, former Navy SEAL Special Agent Sam Hanna, pretty but tough Special Agent Kensi Blye and LAPD liason Detective Martin Deeks. Supporting characters are the team's boss, Hetty Lange, techies Eric and Nell and psychologist Nate. The show is a spinoff of the original Naval Criminal Investigative Service, and it was introduced in the NCIS two part episode 'Legend'. The OSP team is close they are shown to be good friends outside of work. Kensi and Callen are very close and there is a lot of sexual tension between them, much like Tony and Ziva from NCIS. There is also a semi-romantic relationship between Detective Deeks and Agent Blye, as they are shown to have a constant banter, sometimes with sexual overtones.
Robert: Wow, I started watching NCIS: Los Angeles last night. For a spinoff, it's pretty good.

Mandy: Wow, really? I heard they ripped off NCIS.

Robert: Not really. The characters are pretty different.
