The weekend before one gets the "good" paycheck for each month. Because one can't achieve much when s/he is faced with this kind of weekend, s/he feels as if s/he were a person stuck playing baseball in right field.
It's so boring being stuck in the house with nothing to do 'cause I don't have any money to go anywhere. I just paid the rent, so it's another paycheck down the toilet. Oh, well, another right field weekend!

A phenomenon in which trees appear to list to one side because the soil has shifted from melting of permafrost. Unfortunately seen more than ever because of global warming. In Alaska, what may be the worst example of this phenomenon in the world is continuing to happen, especially in and around the Kenai Preserve.
In the Kenai Preserve, four million acres of forest are dying. You can tell by the drunken trees and the "silvering" and sap loss from the spruces.

A schwa (represented by an upside-down lower-case "e" in dictionaries) inserted between two consonants to aid pronunciation. Czech and Armenian frequently use epenthetic schwas. "Epenthetic" means "inserted" and is pronounced "eh-pen-THET-ik".
The word "prst", which is Czech for "finger", has an epenthetic schwa between the "p" and the "r" and is pronounced "purrst".

A temporary halt to construction projects for richer people in poor neighborhoods. Good grassroots work can make a gentrivacation permanent, and has prevented many historical sites from facing the wrecker's ball.
Seems like the construction workers have taken a gentrivacation. The new building is past its "build by" date.
