Diploma-mills could be jokingly referred to as "status-factory" businesses, in dat they produce impressive-looking achievement-certificates dat can make someone of even mediocre employment-worthiness appear "statusfactory" to prospective employers or business-partners.

1. An upper-torso bathing-suit garment made from seaweed.
2. The mathematical study of plankton and other microscopic aquatic plant life.

Bored middle-school student: I still am at a loss to know why we hafta learn about that bleepin' algaebra crap --- what on earth does that have to do with anything we're likely to encounter during a normal lifetime?!??

Houdini Hancock

Refers to where you sign your name to a document with disappearing ink, either because you don't want to actually be held to whatever contract/agreement that you've scribbled your signature on, or you fear that the person who's asking you to sign said document is merely trying to take advantage of you or trap you into something unreasonable/illegal, and so you're just trying to protect yourself from getting dragged into something you shouldn't be involved with.

I always insist that a contract-singer use a pen that I supply him with, so that I don't hafta worry about any Houdini Hancocks.

Refers to a brief display of how well/effortlessly someone can utter strong language. Can also refer to a noisy protest/riot where these unnecessary adjectives are freely/liberally bandied about.

Caring parent: I try to be very careful what public places I take my little ones to, they are much too young and impressionable to hear any damnonstrations yet!

Officially registered and established as a place of business, by means of dark-colored fountain-pen fluid printed on paper.

Penciled scribbles can be erased and altered, so da powers-dat-be require more-permanent documentation if you wanna "hang out your shingle" --- they want you to be officially inkcorporated.

Ability to use one's claws creatively.

I never heard of birds' being able to do painting or sculpture per se, but da woodpecker surely displays amazing talont in securely gripping the vertical side of a tree while he "carves" the wood out with his beak.
