Being able to see better can indeed make your day-to-day existence a lot more pleasant, so perhaps it actually is **not** being excessively optomistic to think dat getting new glasses may make you significantly happier and more relaxed.

If one is actually telling da truth, said factual assertions will likely speak for themselves, and so there should be no need to deafeningly "sell it" --- trying to be "bullyvable" often causes listeners to feel even LESS confident of da proffered information's accuracy.

It really BUGS me dat da "Tigers Club" --- and in particular, dat obnoxious and puffed-up MEANY who's da leader of said delinquent adolescents --- would presume to deserve a comparable level of respect dat da Lions Club can legitimately claim! Can also loosely refer to the hair-trigger wrongness-detecting consciousness of an overly-zealous/sensitive person who vociferously protests anything and everything that he deems inappropriate, unfair, dangerous, unsanitary, etc.
Howard Hughes was infamous for his irrational behavior and assorted phobias; one of his most notorious disorders was his overactive squawkometer regarding germs.
