Lordosis
Lordosis is a basketball term for when the player shoots the ball from under the basket, contorting their spine in spectacular fashion so as to score. The term originally described the change in spinal shape typically found in pregnant women, but since the word has the word "lord" in it, using the term implies that the player who scored the basket possessed - if only for a moment - divine finesse.

Orthostatic Hypotension
When you stand up from sitting or lying down and then get high for 3 seconds. This happens because your body couldn't adjust your blood pressure fast enough from a lying to a standing position. This is similar to how you feel like crap when you volunteered to quickly for a job that you were disastrously unqualified for.

A medical condition describing the copious diuresis experienced by postpartum women about 6 hours after delivery.
As a nurse, you should expect the new mommy to pee like a Russian racehorse within the first 24 hours after delivery.

squoze
A word characterizing the degree of cataclysmic pressure exerted on the head of a baby as it is being delivered vaginally.

As the baby comes out you might see some early decelerations on the fetal heart monitor strip. This tells you that the baby's head is getting squozed.
