radio

There are many different types of radio receiving circuits:
-Crystal (see above)
-Regenerative
-Tuned Radio Frequency (TRF)
-Superheterodyne

Modern radios are superheterodyne. The superheterodyne circuit replaced the TRF and regenerative circuits by the 1930's, and crystal sets were nearly dead until solid state radio emerged.

A bundle of sticks held together by a cord. The word fascist came from this. In a fascist government, the sticks are the people held together by the cord, or leader.

Fascist actually came from the word fasces.

To convert alternating current to direct current by means of a semiconductive material or a vacuum tube.

The AC power in my amplifier is rectified by a 5U4GB tube.
