One of the smartest, most handsome boys you will ever meet. When he walks through a door, everyone's eyes and hearts go immediately in his direction. Waylon will have you in tears laughing at the funny things he says and does. A real pleasure to be around any time of the day. He will take you down if you mess with his family but has a heart of gold. There's just something about those big blue eyes that you just can't get enough of. A lover of animals. Boffin
British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”
Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.
