Using web-based resources such as search engines and online databases to locate, trace, track, or monitor other individuals.

By webstalking my friend from high school, he was able to find her current address, the name and place of business of her husband, part of her social security number, and the schools to which all of her kids belong. I also found numerous photos from throughout the years through webstalking.

Webstalking 

Obsessive compulsively checking away messages, profiles, myspace pages, blogs, etc. Once commenced, you get sucked in for hours at a time. Usually done to procrastinate or often out of sheer boredom.
