An expression used to show great awesomeness. Its origin is unknown, even though many say it was derived from the old English word "gangster."

Person #1: Man, we just scored in this totally g volleyball game in which everybody sucks and nobody knows how to hit the ball

It is not about being a gangster or being affiliated, it is the art in which you do something. An aggresive, robust way of being or doing something which is more often than not successful.
A: Van Persie's goal against Charlton was sick!
B: Van Persie is totally gangster.
