Inventions for (and the inventive-progress of) the care and operation of beavers' chompers.

One big leap in techgnawlogy might be the chain saw --- I saw a Stihl Power Tools ad years ago that featured a cartoon of a couple of beavers' discussing how useful (and teeth-saving!) a chainsaw would be for building their dams.
