A summer romance is when you have a meet an individual and have a relationship only in during the summer. Most of the time you meet them through a vacation of sort. However, you may continue the relationship longer but you only see them in person once.

Person: Didn't you get a boyfriend during break?
Me: Nah it was only a summer romance
