Sucaminchi

"Beauty is in the eye of the sucaminchi" ~Kant

Sucaminchi is not just a word.
It's composed of two words suca (sucker) and minchi (cock). Its literal translation is cocksucker but it goes even deeper than just this meaning.

The history of the word suca tells us a lot about traditional Sicilian culture, but when it meets another typical Sicilian expression, it becomes the most striking and pure example of poetry.

It's mainly used to insult people and it can be placed next to other words such as: figghi (son), to ma (Ur mom), to soru (Ur sister). We can even use celestials entities to emphasize the sentence (warning: explicit content): ro signuri (of God), ra Madonna (of the Virgin Mary).
E.g.

~Oh, you son of a cocksucker!~
"A si nfigghiu ri sucaminchi"

~Oh my God! I stepped into shit~
"Mbracai nda medda sucaminchi do Signuri"

Sucaminchi is also used as a filler word to enhance and make the sentence clearer. If people from the world say wow!, Oh no!, Come on!, we say "Sucaminchi mbare!".
E.g.

~I got the maximum mark in the classwork~
~Good job man!~

"Pigghiai reci ndo compitu"
"Sucaminchi!"

Sometimes to make the speech easier we shorten the phrase. For example:

"Sucaminchi ri to ma" (that cocksucker of Ur mom) becomes "Sucaminchi' to ma", and "Figghiu ri sucaminchi" (son of a cocksucker) becomes "Figghi' sucaminchi".

In conclusion this word has to be used wisely and honour because it's part of a Nation's Cultural Heritage.
Goodbye and figghi sucaminchi to everyone.

Back when I lived in upstate new york, I also had to park on the street - on two occasions, we got enough snow, mixed with just the right plowing, that my car was lifted off the ground from so much snow being jammed underneath it.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
