A stembryo is a kid who has just finished high school and is starting a degree in a stem subject at university but acts like they already know everything there is to know about every stem subject despite just starting out. They're basically an embryo doing stem.
Johnny is such a stembryo, he tried explaining string theory to me but he's only been to one mechanics lecture.
