semposal

(n)- a proposal from one person asking another person to a semi-formal dance. Much like a "promposal", but arguably an even dumber term, It combines the words "semi-formal" and "proposal".

While best left not done at all, semposals can range from a simple note to elaborate interpretive dance depending on how badly the semposer wants to be rejected.

Chad performs a dramatic skit of the shame he will endure if Stephanie doesn't accept his semposal. Later, Stephanie and Chad go to the semi-formal where they dance in tiny romantic circles during the slow jams.
