Since ordering a ‘scotch and dry’ (i.e. a scotch and dry ginger ale mixed drink that’s popular in Australia) can often result in being served a ‘scotch and dry vermouth’ in California, one must therefore order a ‘scotch and ginger’, which after a few rounds comes out as ‘scinger’. Often heard slurred by drunk Aussies in bars in the TL!

Scingles occurs due to seeing something/someone amusing and harmless coming towards you or behind you and you are helpless in stopping it. The scingles gives you a sensation of rushing tingly energy and makes you laugh.
