retrokidding

The act of trying to retract a statement (usually on social media) that makes the author look like a jerk by pretending the statement was a joke the entire time.

Calvin: You are posting your dinner plans in the wrong channel on Slack.
Seven: So "social plans" don't include dinner?
Calvin: Just kidding...
