Ranma

Ranma Saotome is a master at martial arts. But then one day, his father, Genma, took him to Jusenkyo, the training grounds in China, to train. What they didn't know was that each spring had a curse that turns you into whatever drowned there many years ago...
Now Ranma turns into a girl when doused in cold water, while his father turns into a panda. Hot water reverses the effect.
Ranma is stubborn, but a great martial artist. He has a friend-enemy-training partner-rivals in love guy named Ryoga, a "foe", Tatewaki "Blue Thunder" Kuno, and four fiancees: Akane Tendo (the martial artist who lives under the same roof as Ranma, is closest to him, and always has arguments with him), Ukyo "Ucchan" Kuonji (the expert okonomiyaki chef, but a woman second), Shampoo (Amazon warrior who was defeated by boy Ranma in a fight, forcing her to have to marry her, according to the law of the Amazons), and Kodachi Kuno (Tatewaki's twisted sister, but she's not really a fiancee, just someone who really loves Ranma because he's gorgeous).
Ranma never backs down from a fight. He loves fights, and if he discovers a new martial arts technique, he gives it his all to learn it. If he loses a fight, he will not give up- he will keep on training.
For "girl Ranma"- Tatewaki Kuno is in love with this "pigtailed girl". None of the Kunos know who this "girl" actually is. They're kinda dense, but it's funny.

Noodles from China. Sold in six packs, or individually for about $.17 at most grocery stores. Come in a variety of flavors, but all manage to taste the same. I prefer chicken myself, microwaved for approx 3 mins. so that the noodles aren't completely done, just halfway! Sometimes I cook them in a big pot and add alot of salt, pepper, and extra flavor packs, which I raid from my room mates supply! YUM!!!

Who would ever eat 1/2 a pack of Ranma noodles?

ranma 1/2 

A Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi with an anime adaptation. The story revolves around a 16-year old boy named Ranma Saotome who was trained from early childhood in martial arts. As a result of an accident during a training journey, he is cursed to become a girl when splashed with cold water, but hot water will change him back into a boy.

In Japan, the manga was serialized in Shogakukan's Shônen Sunday where it ran from 1987–1996.

Ranma 1/2 was popular among American anime fans in the 90's.

Ranma NibbunNoIchi 

A manga series created by Rumiko Takahashi. It started a young martial artist named Ranma who had recently became cursed to turn female when splashed with cold water. the series started in 1987 and ran till 1996 in the shounen sunday. The portion of the title, nibbunnoichi, is japanese for 1/2

"In Japanese, Ranma 1/2(one half) is pronounced Ranma Nibbunnoichi."
