A slang version of pwned, past tense. Usually related to and/or having to do with video games, specifically first person shooters.

1. To destroy someone or something. To "own" and/or "pwn" it.

2. To beat someone or something badly and/or in an embarassing manner. To win easily.

3. To have been beaten in an embarassing manner.

4. To have played against v0lum3.

pwned

A corruption of the word "Owned." This originated in an online game called Warcraft, where a map designer misspelled "owned." When the computer beat a player, it was supposed to say, so-and-so "has been owned."

Instead, it said, so-and-so "has been pwned."

It basically means "to own" or to be dominated by an opponent or situation, especially by some god-like or computer-like force.

"Man, I rock at my job, but I still got a bad evaluation. I was pwned."

"That team totally pwned us."

1. When you play an FPS and you, with your pistol, dominate an opponent who has a much more powerful weapon.

2. Bashing to death a player with your pistol.
