overanalogize

To talk in a discussion at length using an analogy that is not only accurate and on point but can be seen as grandstanding especially if you call out someone for using the same type of analogy that you use for your analogy.

Man you talked for like 7 or 8 minutes talking about the same kind of thing way to overanalogize.
