A man who gives a new meaning to the word "Mother F*cker".
Oedipus was born to Laius (king of Thebes) and Jocasta (queen of Thebes). At birth, it was fortold that he would murder his father and marry his mother. Laius, not wanting this, sent Oedipus into exile. However, Oedipus did not die, instead he was found and adopted by the king and queen of Corinth. Later in his life, he is told that the king of Corinth is not his real father and escapes to Thebes. On his way, he met a traveler. They got into a fight and Oedipus killed him. When he reaches Thebes, he meets a beutiful widow, (who is the queen) and marries her. They are happy together and have four kids. However, this happiness is broken when Odeipus finds out that the traveler he killed was his real father, Laius, and he married his mother, Jocasta. In reaction to this, he cuts out his eyes and sets out in the world. When Jocasta finds out this, she hangs herself. (Or Vice Virsa) All the children are killed.
Happy story isn't it? :)
