Get the idkts mug.IELTS is an exam that tests your ability to sit exams. Allegedly, it also tests your ability to communicate and successfully survive in an English-speaking country. The ultimate goal is to get "all 9 bands" (highest score in all 4 sections of the exam) which will open all the doors to you and let you join the elite.
Roweena had her IELTS last month and just got back the results - she is a native speaker and only managed a 7.

Speaking and writing tests are highly depends on the marker's preference, so basically the results depend on your luck.
Getting 7 or 8 bands on each subject (Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing) is the same situation that you roll 4 dices and get more than 5 or 6 on each dice.
Some very unlucky people spent more than $10,000 on that.
