IELTS is an exam that tests your ability to sit exams. Allegedly, it also tests your ability to communicate and successfully survive in an English-speaking country. The ultimate goal is to get "all 9 bands" (highest score in all 4 sections of the exam) which will open all the doors to you and let you join the elite.
Roweena had her IELTS last month and just got back the results - she is a native speaker and only managed a 7.
Mike scored all 9's on his IELTS, and he can't even talk properly!

The world most expensive English test.

Speaking and writing tests are highly depends on the marker's preference, so basically the results depend on your luck.

Getting 7 or 8 bands on each subject (Listening, Reading, Speaking, Writing) is the same situation that you roll 4 dices and get more than 5 or 6 on each dice.

Some very unlucky people spent more than $10,000 on that.
I got IELTS speaking score 8 last week, but 6 this time. The interviewer might dislike my hair.

Sister: This meeting was to discuss the rough draft of my essay, where we discussed the subsidiary questions I added in my rough draft. We also discussed the relationship between my main title and the real-life situations I chose to use in my essay. We discussed the structure of my essay as well, specifically the Math AOK section and how it relates to the contradiction of the title. This second meeting was particularly helpful in discussing the implications of my essay claims and how to apply the title across various areas of knowledge. There were many sections of the essay that could have been cut down in wordiness and the ways of knowing required further and more in-depth analysis.
