hookgrip

A type of weight-lifting grip used only by the most Alpha of lifters, specifically for the deadlift and olympic lifts, it’s when the person wraps their thumb under the barbell like a “hook” and uses their fingers to pinch their thumb against the barbell creating a “hookgrip”
that guy just lifted more with a hookgrip than i can with straps!”
