When you feel for someone that wants to do something but they can't you say free the guy.

"Want to play tomorrow?"
"I can't because I my boss wanted me to work tomorrow."
"oh free the guy."

Free the guys

Whenever more than one person is locked up and somebody says "Free the guys," it's pretty self a explanatory. (Mainly used for when somebody's friends are locked up).

Both of my homies been locked up for months now I'm screaming Free the guys!
