the kind of shopping that exists purely as a survival mechanism- the primary goal is the acquisition of sustenance

Person 1: Do you want to go to the mall with me?
Person 2: What for?
Person 1: Uhh... Whatever you want, really...
Person 2: I only ever go foodshopping. All other forms of getting the things are extraneous. And I already have food.
Person 1: Oh... well, have fun not dying, I guess?
Person 2: Righto!

Food Shopping Chicken

Where you'll eat any old crap in the house, just to avoid having to go food shopping.
